Sue Daniel

  Laboratory Director

Dr. Sue Daniel was born in British Columbia, Canada and spent most of her younger years in Germany and Austria. When she returned to Canada, she studied biology at the University of Ottawa and received her B.Sc. (Honours). She then moved on to the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada where she graduated with a Ph.D. from the Department of Physiology in the Faculty of Medicine.

After a post-doctoral fellowship at the Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor, Maine, Dr. Daniel returned to London, Ontario to become the manager of the IVF Laboratory at University Hospital. At the time, this program was the largest and one of the most successful in Canada.

Dr. Daniel and her family emigrated to the United States in 1995. Since then she has directed several laboratories in the Washington DC-Baltimore area.

Dr. Daniel and Dr. Famuyiwa have shared a professional working relationship for over ten years. During that time, they worked together on plans to build a laboratory at the Montgomery Fertility Center. Early in 2012, their dreams became reality and a state-of-the-art laboratory was opened in Rockville, Maryland along with a laboratory for male fertility testing.

Dr. Daniel resides in Potomac, Maryland with her husband and two children, one dog and two cats. She loves to sew, knit, and bead and spend time with her like-minded group of friends.
